Flex Spending Account (FSA)
We have FSAs for medical and dependent care.
Dental and Vision
We offer two dental options through Principal Financial and vision coverage through the Vision Service Plan (VSP).
Domestic Partner Benefits
Non-traditional family units are recognized under the health plan and provided medical benefits to meet their needs.
Voluntary Short-term Disability (STD)
This benefit is provided through the Principal Financial Group. Through this program you are eligible to have some financial security in the event you do not have enough personal leave to cover an extended illness or non-work-related injury.
Long-term Disability (LTD)
HBI provides this benefit for those unexpected events that might require a longer recovery period. This program allows eligible participants to receive income protection in the event of a qualifying illness or non-work-related injury.
Family & Medical Leave (FML)
When associates need time off work for qualifying family or personal medical reasons, FML provides up to 12 weeks of unpaid, job-protected leave to those who are eligible.
Group Term Life Benefit
A term life benefit that is 100 percent of your annual salary, rounded to the next higher $1,000, with a maximum payout of $50,000.
Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D)
This benefit is equal to your group term life benefit if loss is due to accident or injury.
Voluntary Term Life Benefit
Associates can purchase additional life insurance up to a maximum of $100,000. Additional insurance can also be purchased for spouse and children.
Associates have access to travel, medical, legal, and financial assistance plus emergency medical evacuation benefits when traveling domestically or internationally.
Safe Harbor (401)k
HBI contributes 3 percent of an associate’s gross pay into a plan administered by Securian Financial.
401(k) Plan and Roth(k)
Associates can voluntarily make contributions into a pre-tax 401(k) or after-tax Roth(k) through Securian.
Periodically through the year, HBI provides financial education on budgeting and financial planning for your future.
Holidays and Time Off
Everyone needs time off to get away and recharge or take care of personal/family needs. HBI has nine paid holidays through the year, 10 personal days, and, to start, 10 vacation days.
Other Types of Leave
HBI understands that “life happens”; therefore, we provide other types of leave for our associates. They are: personal leave of absence, family medical leave, compassionate leave, jury duty leave, and military leave. Associates may donate personal leave to other associates in need.
Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
This confidential service provides professional counseling to associates and their family households to help them better manage their health and life.
Our concern for others in need goes beyond our workplace. We have activities to support local charities and nonprofits.
Your Professional Growth
Tuition assistance is provided for continuing education. We also provide opportunities for attendance at industry conferences, meetings, and other programs.
We encourage our associates to improve their knowledge of financial services through relevant industry certification, designation, and licensing programs.
We offer free on-site parking.
